New budget forms availableSoybean rust response workshop, May 11-12 2004,
Raleigh, NC
Eleven states in the southern
region, plus representatives from the North-Central and Northeast regions,
participated in a two-day workshop aimed at developing
state-specific response plans, should soybean rust be found in their state.
The workshop was co-hosted by the SPDN and the Southern Region
Center for IPM, and participants were invited to ensure representation from each
state in the areas of extension, plant pathology departments, IPM, agricultural

Sudden Oak Death:
13 states now
have positive trace-forward test results for Phytophthora ramorum.
More funding will be available for SOD diagnostics and surveys - keep track
of your sample costs!
